Karen Mercado – Kempter is the Founder of KMKnyc, a bespoke global consulting firm assisting companies with executive search, organizational design, the ultimate candidate experience, DEI, and talent development strategies. Referencing on her 25 years of experience, Karen has supported iconic names like Sotheby’s, Calvin Klein, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Macy’s within Human Resources and Talent Acquisition senior leadership roles. 

At KMKnyc Karen has worked with an extensive client list within varied industries including fashion, retail, advertising, media, beauty, architecture, textiles, private equity, and early-stage venture capital firms focusing on direct-to-consumer and Ecommerce companies creating modern luxury products.

As a native New Yorker, Karen draws her inspiration and drive from the hustle and bustle the city generates daily. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a minor in Art History from Fordham University in The Bronx, NY.
